Brandie is dually licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), with a passion for helping those who are dealing with substance use and mental health issues. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Studies and Psychology from the University of South Dakota in 2002 and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on community counseling from the University of South Dakota in 2008.
Brandie has a wide variety of clinical experience with a diverse client base. Her experience includes inpatient adolescent CD treatment, minimum and maximum security prisons, domestic violence shelters, and mental health clinics and in-home therapy. Brandie has extensive experience with group and individual therapy. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, as well as mindfulness, DBT principles and Systems Theory. Brandie believes in meeting clients where they are in life and helping them and their support systems to set achievable goals in order to enhance the quality of life.
